Traditional Chinese hutong courtyard hostel. The Leo Hostel is beautifully decorated with traditional
furniture and fittings. As an escape from the busy market streets outside, inside the hostel are several
peaceful, green seating areas, where you can relax with a good book or quietly socialise with friends. The
hostel has over 35 rooms and can accommodate over 120 guests.
DVD bar/restaurant. Western and Chinese food is served in the restaurant from 7am-11pm, with lots of
vegetarian options available. Takeaways are also available. There are plenty of movie and music DVDs to
choose from, all great quality with English subtitles. We like to think we have the best movie and music DVD
collection in the whole of China. If you do not believe us please check for yourself - and if you have any
suggestions please let us know! The daytime is a perfect time to "take a break from travelling" and relax
watching a few movies with new friends. There are also lots of board games & bar games to play, along with
magazines to read. The bar closes at 2am. If this is too early for you and you still want to party-on, you can

Artwork. Art and calligraphy exhibitions are placed throughout the hostel, and you can watch the in-house

Kung Fu / Tai Ji Quan. Kung Fu & Tai Ji/Qi classes are available at the hostel. And if you want to watch the
locals practicing their Tai Qi, you can take a 30 minute stroll down to the famous Temple of Heaven park. To

Ticket booking. We have an extensive train and plane ticket booking service. We can also arrange trains to
special places, such as Lhasa, Hong Kong or Hanoi. We can also book tickets in advance if you forward
payment and commission in advance.
Internet & WI-FI. There is a free internet computer for guests to check their emails quickly. If you want
to use the computer for longer, more paid internet computers are available, all with cameras and headsets
(Skype available here ;). Got a lap-top? We also have FREE WIRELESS INTERNET in the
bar/restaurant/reception/tearoom area.
Pool table. A pool table is available for everyone to use, free of charge. The pool table is above the bar
and there is also a darts board.
Guitar & drums. We have a hostel guitar and bongo drums for guests to use. Make your own party
upstairs above the bar...
Playstation. We have a Playstation for use by guests, for a small charge to cover repair costs. There
are up to 20 games that work perfectly every time, including Pro Evo 2009 ;)
Luggage Storage. We have a secure luggage storage room for guests to use during their stay. Storage
is free for guests. If guests want to leave luggage while they are not at the hostel we can also arrange
this for a small charge.
Telephone service. We offer a national and international call service at a fixed reasonable cost. If you
just want to make enquiries around Beijing or book another hostel in China our reception will be happy to
help you at no charge.
Bicycle hire. Beijing is probably the best city in China to ride a bike. It has special cycle-lanes, often
large enough to fit a car. It also has no hills and most roads are set out in grid-formation, with handy ring
roads to let you know when you have cycled too far in the wrong direction! We can arrange sturdy
mountain bike hire, with Shiman gearing. We can also tell you where to find the safe bike-parking places.
Airport Transfer. We can arrange an airport pick-up or transfer from/to the Beijing airports. We usually
arrange car pick-ups but minibuses can be arranged for tour groups. Late-night/early-morning will be
charged a little extra. If you would like a pick-up service please confirm your arrival date, departure city,
flight number and arrival time.
Security lockers. We have small security lockers available for everyone at reception to use. In most
dorm rooms there are also larger security lockers, large enough for medium back-packs. There is an
electric socket inside for you to charge your valuables safely.
