Traditional Chinese hutong hostel. The Leo Hostel is beautifully decorated with traditional furniture and fittings. As an escape from the busy market streets outside, inside the hostel are several peaceful, green seating areas, where you can relax with a good book or quietly socialise with friends. The hostel has over 35 rooms and can accommodate over 100 guests.

 

DVD bar/restaurant. Western and Chinese food is served in the restaurant from 7am-10pm, with lots of vegetarian options available. There are plenty of movie and music DVDs to choose from, all great quality with English subtitles. There are also lots of board games & bar games to play, along with magazines to read. The bar closes at 2am. If this is too early for you and you still want to party-on, you can take one of our bar street maps, showing you Beijing’s hidden bar areas ;)

 

Artwork. Art and calligraphy exhibitions are placed throughout the hostel, and you can watch the in-house artist (Mr Tom) paint new works every day. For more information on Mr Tom and to see his paintings, please visit his website here. To see his art demonstration video, click here!

 

 

Kung Fu. Kung Fu & Tai Qi classes are available at the hostel. And if you want to watch the locals practicing their Tai Qi, you can take a 30 minute stroll down to the famous Temple of Heaven park. To see a short demonstration from our Kung-Fu teacher please click here!

Ticket booking service. We have an extensive train and plane ticket booking service. We can also arrange permits to Lhasa. For more information, please see our Ticket Booking page..

 

 

 

Free internet. There is a free internet computer for guests to check their emails quickly. If you want to use the computer for longer, more paid internet computers are available, all with cameras and headsets (Skype available here ;). You can also burn your pictures on to a CD. Got a lap-top? We also have FREE WIRELESS INTERNET in the bar/restaurant/reception/tearoom area.
